Article 5: Vehicle Delivery & Inspection

  1. Lessor shall deliver the vehicle to Lessee before the rental period, and the vehicle shall be in normal working condition.
  2. Both parties shall jointly inspect the vehicle condition (exterior, mileage, fuel level, accessories) and sign the Vehicle Handover Checklist.
  3. Upon rental expiration, Lessee shall return the vehicle on time, maintaining the condition as at delivery (normal wear and tear excepted).

Article 6: Vehicle Usage Regulations

  1. Lessee shall use the vehicle legally and properly; prohibited uses include illegal activities, racing, or transporting goods.
  2. The vehicle must be driven by Lessee holding a valid driver’s license; subleasing or lending is not allowed.
  3. During the rental, Lessee shall keep the vehicle clean, use it responsibly, and perform basic checks (oil, water, tire pressure, etc.).
  4. Fuel Standard: Vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as at pickup; otherwise, fuel charges will be calculated based on the difference.

Article 7: Insurance & Accident Handling

  2. In case of an accident, Lessee shall immediately report to the police and notify Lessor; no unauthorized handling is allowed.

  4. Losses caused by Lessee’s violation (e.g., drunk or drugged driving) shall be fully borne by Lessee.

Article 8: Violations & Liability

  1. Traffic violations during rental (illegal parking, speeding, etc.) shall be borne by Lessee.
  2. Lessee shall compensate for any damages to the vehicle or third-party losses caused by Lessee.
  3. Late return: ￥____ per hour overdue; exceeding ____ hours will be charged as one day’s rental.

Article 9: Termination & Early Return

  1. If Lessee wishes to terminate early, at least 1-day prior notice must be given; rental fee is settled by actual days used, and any incurred fees are non-refundable.
  2. If Lessor fails to deliver the vehicle as agreed, Lessee has the right to terminate the contract and request a refund of deposit and rental fee.

Article 10: Dispute Resolution

  1. This contract shall be governed by the laws of the place of signing.
  2. Disputes arising from this contract shall first be resolved through negotiation; if unsuccessful, they may be submitted to the People’s Court at the place of signing.

Article 11: Miscellaneous

  1. Matters not covered in this contract shall be supplemented by written agreement between both parties.
  2. This contract is made in two copies, each party holding one copy, both having equal legal effect.
